HIDIZS supports the ongoing work of WDC
We could tell right off that this corporate partnership was going to be different. HIDIZS founder and CEO Tamson Tan was distraught about the surge in strandings along the U.S. East Coast and globally.
HIDIZS, is an innovative audio technology company based in Hong Kong known among audiophiles for making high-quality, affordable in-ear monitors (IEMs) and digital audio players. Whale and Dolphin Conservation – North America (WDC-NA) has partnered with many corporations but this one stood out because of the how HIDIZS envisioned the partnership: introducing WDC’s message about the key ecological role whales and dolphins play in the ocean to a new audience while giving them a way to help protect these animals.
Starting in 2023, WDC’s esteemed deputy director Missy Walker and the team at HIDIZS started to hatch the partnership. We shared ideas, reviewed marketing plans, and had sampled the IEMs with our team from the office. Since then, HIDIZS has released three different IEMs – MP145, MP143/Salt, and MP145PRO – all with a whale-inspired design with a portion of the sales directly supporting the ongoing work of WDC-NA.
As invited guests of HIDIZS WDC attended the 2026 National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) show in California and the CanJam Show in New York. After years of virtual meetings, our teams finally got to meet n person, and talk with audiophiles from around the world as they shared their opinion about HIDIZS’s IEMs and our partnership. And we got to talk about the work of WDC with the music community HIDIZS contributions have helped to underwrite our work in many ways, from sponsoring the Whale Jam benefit concerts to our core programs in education and outreach, and our Marine Animal Rescue and Response team. Their newest release to support WDC is the AP30 Music Boy, a whale-themed high-resolution music player that gives Game Boy vibes. We are grateful for this rich and meaningful partnership. Spread the word, share this with the audiophile, and maybe listen to whale songs.
