Harbor seal pup given a second chance at life
On June 16th, our Marine Animal Rescue and Response (MARR) team responded to a harbor seal pup in Plymouth, MA. The decision was made to bring the pup into rehabilitation at the National Marine Life Center (NMLC), where he was admitted for care and given the name Cherry Garcia. Read the full story.

“Weather conditions were hazy, but not bad. Overall, the trip was incredible, we saw over 6 humpbacks and we also got visited by 2-3 minkes, plus on our way back into Plymouth we saw a dead minke. (WDC’s MARR team responded to the minke and conducted a full necropsy the following day. Results from the necropsy will be released in the future.)”
